Category leader opens 4th facility company for long-term growth

ST. LOUIS (February 15, 2017) – International Mulch Company™ (IMC), the global leader in 100% recycled rubber products for landscaping and playground applications, today announced it has opened its fifth manufacturing and distribution facility in Ogden, Utah. The 130,000 square foot plant, will serve as a northwest manufacturing and distribution center for national and regional retailers such as: Lowe’s, Walmart, Costco and Tractor Supply. In addition, this new facility will allow IMC to expand its presence for our regional sales team that services parks and recreation departments, schools, municipalities and government agencies. With this new location, IMC now operates manufacturing and distribution centers in Illinois, Maryland, Florida and California.

“The percentage of people who recycle and use recycled products is nowhere higher than on and near the west coast so we determined that opening an additional facility would be a productive addition to our current facilities,” says Cindy Miller, CEO of International Mulch Company. “Opening a facility in this strategic location allows our company access to vital transportation line to bring in raw material and deliver finished goods to a large and growing audience in the northwest corridor of the country.”

IMC will be producing many of its hallmark items such as Rubberific Premium Shredded Rubber Mulch and NuPlay Rubber Nuggets at the Ogden facility. Since our inception we have recycled more than 400,000,000 pounds of rubber into a full suite of landscaping and playground products that are sold to retailers in the United States, Canada and around the world.
