International Mulch Company began in 2000 with a vision, and a product that reflected stewardship and a new way to look at landscaping, Rubberific Premium Shredded Rubber Mulch. This mulch was not like any other that was seen before as while it looks exactly like real wood mulch, however, it is made completely out of 100% recycled rubber from discarded tires. Over the years we expanded our recycled rubber portfolio by producing a rubber nugget called NuScape, known simply as the safest playground covering available. We did not stop at only mulch though as today we now have a full suite of products made from rubber for both landscaping and playground applications.

To date, we have recycled more than 500,000,000 pounds of rubber which is equivalent to more than 31,000,000 tires. If we did not give these tires a second life they would have gone to our increasingly over crowded landfills. We could not be more proud of this accomplishment.

Over the past few years, while continuing to grow our recycled rubber business to one that spans North America, we explored other areas in the outdoor living space which led us to redefine who we are and what we do. In 2014, International Mulch Company became IMC Outdoor Living, a synthesis of where we started and what we strive to become.

While continuing to produce recycled rubber products that are recognized as the gold standard, we are now striving to look for opportunities to bring value and pioneering products to our outdoor living enthusiasts and respected retail partners.
